Visa on arrival or e-VOA, the IDR 150,000 tourist levy and the arrival declaration. Step by step.

## In short

- You need a passport that is valid for at least six more months.
- Dutch and Belgian travellers buy a visa on arrival or an e-VOA online in advance: IDR 500,000 (about €25), valid for 30 days and extendable once by 30 days.
- Every foreign visitor pays a tourist levy of IDR 150,000, children included.
- Fill in the All Indonesia arrival declaration within the three days before you arrive.

You buy the e-VOA on the official website of the Indonesian immigration service, evisa.imigrasi.go.id. Watch out for middlemen who charge double. With an e-VOA you can use the automatic gates at the [airport](/en/bali-airport-transfer), which saves a lot of time in high season. Indonesia plans to raise the price; check the current amount just before you leave.

You pay the tourist levy in advance on the Love Bali website or app. You receive a QR code by email; save a screenshot. Among other things, the levy helps protect Bali's nature and culture.

Take out travel insurance that covers medical costs abroad, and read the [conditions for scooters](/en/blog/renting-a-scooter-in-bali).
