URL: https://mybalitourguide.com/trips/bali-with-kids
Type: Round trip. Duration: 14 days, 13 nights. Group: Families up to 6 people. Start: At the airport. Price: Personal trip plan from €250.

Short drives, places to stay with a pool and outings for the whole family. Two weeks in Bali with your own driver, from Sanur via Ubud to Amed.

## Highlights

- A gentle start in Sanur, on a beach without big waves
- Planting rice with a farmer and seeing the ducks in the sawah
- A cooking class with a family, where the children join in
- Four days in Amed, snorkelling from the beach
- A pool everywhere you stay, and no packing every day

With children you mainly want two things: not too long in the car and not a new bed every day. This route does both. You start in [Sanur](/en/destinations/sanur) to recover from the flight, then head for the [rice fields](/en/destinations/ubud) and the [east coast](/en/destinations/amed), and every place has a pool. [Dek Leonk](/en/about/dek-leonk) drives a car with room for the whole family, and arranges child seats if you let him know in advance.

## Program step by step

- **Days 1–3: Sanur** Half an hour from the airport. There's a reef in front of the beach, so the water is calm. A good place to get used to the time difference.
- **Days 4–7: Ubud** An hour's drive. A villa or hotel with a pool just outside the centre. You plant rice with a farmer, go to the cooking class with a family and watch a Legong dance in the evening.
- **Days 8–9: Sidemen** Just over an hour's drive. Two days among the rice fields, with a short walk that children can easily manage.
- **Days 10–13: Amed** An hour and a half's drive, with a stop to see the fish in the ponds at Tirta Gangga. Four days of snorkelling, playing on the beach and a short boat trip.
- **Day 14: back to the airport** The only long drive: two and a half to three hours, with a stop on the way. Dek Leonk allows plenty of time, so you don't have to rush.

## Frequently asked questions

**Is Bali suitable for children?**

Yes. Balinese people love children and you're made welcome everywhere. Watch out for the sun, mosquitoes and tap water; there's more under Food and drink and Safety.

**Can the children ride on the back of a scooter?**

We advise against it. The car with Dek Leonk is safer, and simply more comfortable.

**What if a child gets ill?**

Dek Leonk knows where the nearest clinic is and drives you there. Ubud and the south have international hospitals.
