  • Snorkelling at Menjangan, an uninhabited island in West Bali National Park
  • Coral walls that drop steeply into the deep
  • A coral restoration project you can see from the beach
  • Turtles and shoals of fish

Pemuteran is a small village on a bay, right next to West Bali National Park. The village has been working for decades to restore its coral, with a project whose underwater structures you can see from the beach. From the harbour at Labuhan Lalang, twenty minutes' drive away, you take a boat to Menjangan, an uninhabited island in the park with coral walls that drop steeply into the deep. You snorkel there among turtles and shoals of fish.
