Ubud is the cultural heart of Bali. It has also become busy: the centre is full of cars during the day, and the Monkey Forest and the swings at Tegallalang are tourist attractions in their own right. That's why, with us, you stay just outside the centre, among the rice fields, and go to the well-known places early. At seven in the morning you walk along the Campuhan ridge with only a few joggers for company. At the market you see the offering flowers for the day. In the evening you watch a dance performance in a temple courtyard.
